Hi Everybody!
Today I finished the first 4 tracks for the Demo CD. It should be out by the end of the summer, if not before then. The album art is being worked on by one of my amazing Art/Education major friends! I'm finishing up recording the tracks. There's about 4 or 5 tracks to go!

I'm super Excited! I may add some more tracks if I can write some more songs between now and the release; or if I decide to include some more old songs.

Welcome!
Hi Everyone,
Welcome to the Maggie Berry Music blog! I'll use this first post to provide an introduction to my music and let everyone know where they can learn more and listen to some tunes!
I've been playing music for about six years now, and writing my own songs before I ever even picked up a guitar. I play folky music, and for someone who's usually smiling, have never managed to write a cheerful song... Go figure! The songs I write are attempts at capturing and making sense of important moments in my life. There's usually a lot going on in my mind and I find that songwriting is a good way to find some clarity.
I also try to do some interesting covers of songs that I find moving. I can occasionally be found at coffee shop open mic nights and other similar venues. I've also been playing at political rallies lately.
I'm currently working on recording a demo CD that should be available for purchase by the end of the summer. It's appropriately titled: Two Cents From a Crowded Mind. I'm planning on including 6-8 songs, maybe more if I have the time and energy!
I hope to use this blog to share more of my music--maybe some thoughts on some songs (my own and others')-- and just keep people updated on what I'm doing and writing.
